Venezuela Visa

Venezuela

For Tourist Purpose

U.S. nationals are required to get a tourist visa to travel to Venezuela

The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the United States of America notifies the public of Resolution DM Nº 029, made on February 28, 2015, and published in the Extraordinary Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nº 6,177 on the same day, issued by the Ministry of People’s Power for the Interior, Justice and Peace in conjunction with the Ministry of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, which EXCLUDES the United States of America from the list of countries that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela unilaterally provides with the benefits of a Non-Migrant (Tourist) Visa Exemption for Ordinary Passports, partially repealing Joint Resolution Nº 029, made on March 27, 2007 and published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nº 38,653 on the same day.

In that regard, the aforementioned Resolution indicates that nationals of the United States of America and holders of ordinary passports issued by that country must comply with the legal and sublegal norms, established by the regulations for the issuance of tourist visas, at the accredited Consular Section and Consular Offices in the United States of America.

To that end, interested parties can click the following link, which lists the requirements for applying for a Tourist Visa, which must be presented in person during open office hours, from Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 1:00pm.  Personal appearance at the Embassy is required at the embassy or nearest consulate.
